Outrider Appoints General Manager for Australia

Australia’s largest search marketing company, Outrider (formerly 24/7 Real Media Search; a division of Group M), today announced the appointment of Marcelo Silva as General Manager, Outrider Australia.
Silva joins Outrider from PayPal Australia, where he has been Head of Marketing since July 2005.
Before that, Silva was Marketing Manager at CareerOne and, earlier, Business Development and Marketing Manager for Yahoo! Australia Search Marketing.
Silva’s appointment to head Outrider’s local operations follows the relocation of Robbie Hills, CEO Group M Search Asia Pacific, to Singapore.
In welcoming Silva to Outrider Australia, Hills said: “Marcelo is well known and respected in our industry.
“He has deep online marketing experience gained at leading digital media businesses over a period of 12 years.
“He is the right person to take the reins at Outrider’s Australian operations as we continue to expand our market presence.”

Silva takes up his new role at Outrider Australia in June.
